Get involved with us

designExplorr is a celebration of design and is the organization which grew out of the thesis research work Design Journeys: Strategies for Increasing Diversity in Design Disciplines. The organization’s #1DesignGoal is to create opportunities that expose underrepresented youth to design careers. Our spaces encourage creative youth to explore their love of art and connect it to career opportunities within the design industry. Being exposed to design allows young people to be creative, think critically, develop problem-solving skills and become better communicators. Last year designExplorr shared our love of design with over 550 youth through presentations, workshops, design challenges and school visits. In an effort to increase diversity in design disciplines, this year the goal is to triple that number. Help us reach our goal. Use the below contact form to share the names of people, potential organizations, educational institutions and special interest programs you recommend we contact to help reach my goal of exposing more underrepresented youth to career opportunities that exist within the design industry.
